Many thanks to David
Goodsell, of the Bellarmine Prep coaching staff. He
gathered the 1A - 4A realigned conferences, for 2006, and sent them to
us.
David is a great friend to this site, being one of its most frequent
contributors.
Helping Us With the
Site
Sending helmet information.
If the helmet has decals, what
we need
is a scan, photo or a hard copy of a non -applied decal
for the right side.
Both sides, if they are different. A link in the menu
takes you to a
page which has more information as to what is needed to produce
the best possible graphic renderings of the helmets for this site.
For that complete information you may also

Historical and Concept
Helmets - There are several 'Historical' helmets on the
site as well as a few helmets Mike developed as concepts for a new look
for
particular schools. To see them you can go directly to those pages from
the menu
or if you see an (H) by
a school's name in the alphabetical list or on the conference
helmet pages click on that and it will take you right to the
helmet. The same is
true for the concept helmets. A (C)
indicates a concept helmet for that school
is on the Concept Helmets page. To see details and
examples

Welcome
This site is for the enjoyment of high school football players,
coaches and fans.
The objective is to post renditions of every helmet worn by high schools
playing
football in the state. A "Historical
Helmets" section is part of the site to display
helmets worn by the schools over the years.
By its nature, this site is a work in progress. We are constantly
looking for
details, pictures and scans of decals of current and 'historical'
helmets so we
can add helmets to the site. If you
have verifiable data of any current or
previously worn helmets of any high school within the
state it would be
appreciated if you passed that data along for its inclusion
here.
Click
Here to find out what information we need.
If you see something you
believe to be in error, please let us hear that, too.
Your input and feedback are
welcomed, appreciated and will help make this a better site.

Mike Kersey has done all the helmet graphics for this
site. Without his skill and
dedication the site wouldn't exist. The
Missouri
High School Helmet Project,
Mike's first site, has helmet renderings
of 311 of the 341 Missouri high schools.
Mike's work, like others who
have built similar sites, has been inspired by Charles
Arey who created The
Helmet Project. Arey's site covers all the North
American
professional and colleges with helmets dating back to 1960.

Finding a School and its Helmet - Using the Alphabetical
List to Navigate
Use this list if all you know is the
school's name. It may take a while for the list
to load so be patient. Every school is listed alphabetically.
Click on the appropriate
letter in the menu to find the school for which you are
looking. When the page appears scroll until you find the school in the left
column.
Go across to the right side
of the page to find your school's conference. Click on
the conference name which is the link to
that school's conference helmet page. The
link is the conference name because that is how they are grouped on the site.

An (H) to
the right of the school name in the "Alphabetical List" (see Kamiak
example above) or by the mascot name on the school's conference helmet page
(see Kamiak example below) indicates one or more helmets from that school is
displayed in the
"Historical Helmets" section.
Clicking on the (H) will send you
to the "historical helmets".
